Zest Scientific is looking to recruit an experienced Clinical Data Manager for a leading organisation in Berkshire.  If you have an extensive level of relevant work with exposure to a number of therapeutic areas within clinical data management from the clinical research or pharmaceutical sectors, then we would like to hear from you.

The Clinical Data Manager will ensure reliability of service across the Data Coordination team ensuring the smooth running of the Data Coordinator department.

The role:

• The Clinical Data Manager will be accountable for accuracy of data systems, quality of data and that correct version control is be used for clinical projects
• Line management of the Data Services Team
• Attend client calls when called upon to provide study updates
• Plan and recommend resources to Senior Managers to ensure deadlines are met on clinical projects and overall smooth running of the department.
• Accountable for training Data Coordinators on Synergy/Cognos to have the ability to provide accurate weekly figures to Project Management.
• Provide guidance for the data entry process for studies, by department, by function via the Study Team.
• Develop, maintain and produce a dashboard for tracking patient recruitment stages, flow of CRFs and queries ensuring that this is provided in a timely manner.
• Accountable for the development and delivery of training in Data Coordination departmental activities and processes to staff.
• Conduct, host, produce meeting minutes and actions for departmental and other relevant meeting ensuring that issues impacting on business are highlighted to the Senior Managers.
• Conduct analysis of data across core team and site projects and follow up on trends, inconsistencies to enhance overall performance.
• Ensure that quality of data is accurate and internal/external audit findings are shared with other sites and followed up appropriately.
• Interact with outside vendors in order to accommodate electronic receipt and loading of large data files. This is done for data such as ECGs, clinical labs, etc. ensuring that services are provided as per Service Level Agreements.
• Attend Investigator Meetings and distribute learning to across the UK
• Be Lead Data Coordinator on projects and deliver projects on time, within budget and to the client’s satisfaction.
• Complete quality checks on site study data ensuring accuracy of data entered and source documents are accurate.

The person:

• An extensive level of relevant work experience with increasing responsibility in data
  management with knowledge of many therapeutic areas.
• Must have successfully lead numerous core study projects and be aware of the companies overall business requirements.
• Demonstrated time management skills and ability to adhere to project productivity metrics and
  time lines.
• Knowledge of clinical trial process and data management, clinical operations, biometrics,
  quality management, and systems applications to support operations
• Working knowledge of the relationship and regulatory obligation of the industry with
  pharmaceutical biotechnological companies and CRO’s.
