Clinical Operations Scientist - Cognitive Assessment

Zest Scientific Recruitment is partnered with a leading business involved in the assessment of Cognitive Neuroscience. We are seeking a PhD level Scientist (potentially MSc level) with an interest in cognition and neuropsychological testing. The role will be responsible for providing both scientific and technical input both internally and externally in regard to the development of clinical trial and pharmaceutical research development. This role will primarily be office based (Cambridge area), however, will include some client visits in conjunction with Project Management and Business Development teams, delivering training and attending client investigator meetings.
This is a multi-disciplinary operational role where you will utilise your knowledge of the research area to help customers successfully execute their trials utilising my clients technology. The Operational Scientist will work with Academic and Pharmaceutical research partners, advising clients on the appropriate test selection, assisting in writing and reviewing study proposals, reviewing and maintaining study-specific documentation and ensuring that the bibliography is maintained.
The company is flexible regarding experience within this role and as such it is a great opportunity for a PhD or Post Doctoral candidate with a background in Cognition, Psychology or Neuroscience who is looking to make the move into a commercially focused role. Furthermore, exposure to psychopharmacology and an understanding of the principles of psychopharmacological design will be a distinct advantage as well as a sound understanding of the principles of psychometrics.
