We are recruiting a Customer Relationship Manager to provide project management support to nominated accounts or programs. This will involve working across a multidisciplinary commercial team in Cambridgeshire.

The role:

  • Ensuring that timely responses are achieved in all interactions with the customer
  • Ensuring enquiries for new studies are being processed by the Proposals group and that responses are returned in a timely manner
  • Having a good knowledge and understanding of the agreements in place with allocated accounts
  • Ensuring that the correct account terms and conditions are used including agreed upon benchmark prices and study designs where appropriate
  • Ensuring that all information related to a study or project is disseminated to operational staff so that the expectations of the customer are defined and understood
  • Routinely monitoring the progress of studies/projects and ensure that the customer  is informed on schedules, results, report dates and any events that could impact on the overall schedule of a study/project
  • Ensuring that documentation is updated and maintaining an awareness of any changes that may affect the business placed by those accounts
  • Ensuring that operational departments are aware of customer requirements and relevant documents (eg Best Practice Guides, Report and Protocol format requirements, agreed timelines)
  • Facilitating internal review meetings to ensure that studies/projects are progressing as expected
  • Facilitating scientific discussions with the customer, Study Director and scientific and regulatory experts
  • Acting as a point of contact for external and internal customers for the allocated accounts/programs
  • Developing strong relationships with external as well as internal customers
  • Attending and contributing to Sales and Customer Services team and departmental meetings
  • Gathering business intelligence and report back information to relevant personnel

 The person:

  • Highly developed customer service ethic with previous role as Customer Relationship Manager or similar
  • Fluent Japanese language skills
  • Experience within the Pharmaceutical or Chemical sectors
  • Exceptional organisational, planning and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Team player
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in a Life Sciences, Business or Marketing subject
