Do you have experience working in a Molecular Pathology laboratory with expertise in immunohistochemistry (IHC) based projects (ideally with a preclinical environment)?
Zest Scientific is seeking an individual who demonstrates the technical proficiency and personality to make the step up into a Study Management position where you will be responsible for the development of study plans and laboratory techniques. This is a truly unique role given the scope for individual personal development and we are not liming our search and are interested in speaking to candidates across the whole of the UK as we are offering an attractive relocation package to secure the services of the right candidate. The position is based within close proximity to Worcester and Gloucester.
The Study Manager will engage with pharmaceutical clients and other CROs to identify technical requirements and create procedures which ensure studies are GLP and GCP compliant and key study objectives are achieved. This is a fantastic opportunity which will offer excellent scope for professional development, subsequently, we are interested in speaking to highly motivated candidates who have the desire to build a new division and undertake additional commercial responsibilities outside of the lab.
This is an entrepreneurial role and will provide the successful candidate to undertake some leadership responsibility of the Molecular Pathology service offering and ultimately play an active role in mapping out the strategic direction of the business unit by assessing the commercial potential of new service areas which the business can provide. The Study Manager will supervise a small team of Lab Technicians as well as being involved in defining a pricing structure for specific lab services.
It is essential that applicants can demonstrate extensive practical experience of Immunohistochemistry techniques (both automated and manual methods) as the Study Manager will be accountable for ensuring methods and techniques are strictly adhered to and there is high quality output. You will identify process improvement opportunities and develop a training programme which addresses technical weaknesses within the team. Previous experience conducting Tissue Cross Reactivity studies within a preclinical environment is highly desirable.
