Zest Scientific is looking to identify a Study Manager with Pharmacokinetic and Toxicokinetic experience to join the Metabolism team of a leading organisation in Cambridgeshire.

 

We are looking to recruit a skilled and ambitious scientist with responsibility for performing Pharmacokinetic and Toxicokinetic studies, ensuring they are carried out and reported to high scientific standards in compliance with GXP and HSE regulations.  The role includes working with both internal and external customers, so excellent communication skills are essential.

 

The role:

 

  • Maintaining an up to date knowledge of technical, scientific and regulatory developments related to pharmacokinetics, reading relevant scientific / technical literature and attend training courses / conferences (as applicable).
  • Undertaking the role of Study Director, Principal Investigator or Expert Scientist (Pharmacokinetic), managing routine studies, ensuring all studies carried out are performed to a high scientific quality.
  • Conducting technical and scientific procedures with appropriate training and supervision.
  • Preparation of study plans, data and reports to high scientific standards and within agreed timeframes.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives in order to reduce costs and / or improve efficiency, productivity and scientific standards.
  • Providing timely updates of study progress to their line manager and the Study Director such that accurate invoicing and revenue / forecasting can be achieved.
  • Developing and maintaining effective communication and working relationships with Sponsors, peers, management, inter- and intra-departmental project groups and other customers including QA, providing high quality information and advice within agreed timeframes and ensuring excellent customer service is achieved at all times

 

The person:

 

  • Degree level (or equivalent) in Pharmacology; Chemistry, Biological Sciences or related discipline
  • Experience of working with Pharmacokinetic and Toxicokinetic studies.
  • Excellent communication skills
